Understanding the terminology and simple functions of writing on a computer will make composing and formatting your documents a pleasure. Norm Galloway and Steve Tunnicliffe will give a brief history of word processing and demonstrate the most basic functions in Microsoft Word and Apple Pages. This is not a session for experts, as the demonstrations are designed to help familiarize you with only the basics of using the word processor of your choice.

This is not a "how to" session so please do not bring your device intending to follow along. There will be follow up sessions that will address the use of these programs. Knowing terminology and basic functions will make those sessions easier to navigate.

Class size will be limited to 50 to allow for questions.

Note, in order to complete your registration you must click on Register, and complete the registration process (several screens) until you get to review and confirm your registration.
