Basic Digital Skills : Social Media Basics

This is the fourth session in our Basic Digital Skills training series. In this session, Jack and Lara Scandrett will introduce the most popular social media platforms such as Facebook, X formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram.  They will show how to create and manage a Social Media account, discuss Privacy settings and online safety, and how to recognize and deal with scams as you interact with your friends and family online.  This will be presented in person at the Senior Center and also  on Zoom. This is not for experts and questions are encouraged. If you have a friend you think might benefit from this session, sign them up as a guest and bring them along.

The session will be given in person at the Sr. Center and simultaneously on Zoom. When you sign up, choose which way you will attend. The in person attendance will be limited to 40 so that questions will be easy to handle.

Note, in order to complete your registration you must click on Register, and complete the registration process (several screens) until you get to review and confirm your registration. Space is limited 45 people if you chose the Sr. Center option. If the class is full, please put yourself on the waitlist or choose the Zoom option.
