Bitcoin - what is it?

Norm Galloway will give an introduction to Bitcoin and it's underlying technology Block Chain. With PayPal and Tesla talking about Bitcoin, a lot of us are wondering what on earth a Bitcoin is and what would I do with one if I had it?

Norm will NOT give investment advice, but will just cover enough so you know what you are reading about when you see it in the news. Warning, there will be several slides that include some math, since Bitcoins are generated using a "very hard to solve math problem". We'll talk about Bitcoin mining so you also understand the possible environmental issues related to this topic.
