This workshop will give a brief overview of three Navigation Apps for Apple iPhone & iPad, namely Apple Maps, Google Maps & WAZE. Warren Harkness will discuss the pros & cons of each in general terms, then dive down on using Apple Maps. He will show how to setup and use Apple Maps to locate addresses & places as well as navigate to and from a chosen location. While most navigation is done via automobiles, the app can also be used to navigate on foot and on public transportation in select locales. The maps can be saved, printed out, or sent to other devices. Everyone should leave with a basic ability to locate a place and navigate to it.
Remember that individual instruction or help for Apple users is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am to 4pm at the club resource center. Stop in anytime to learn something new!
Before the workshop please update your device to the latest IOS operating system. Know your Apple ID and Apple password.
